α) What is Trichonourish gel?
It is topical therapy for MALE patients suffering from patterned
hair loss or androgenic alopecia or hair thinning. It is NOT
recommended for FEMALES (except under guidance of doctor)
β) How it works?
It’s active ingredients is a DHT blocker and it is a time tested
medicine for hair thinning. There is a hormone called DHT
which is the culprit behind patterned hair loss and thinning.
This hormone activity is reduced by the gel, thereby allowing
the hair to grow thicker and longer.

Since the DHT blocker is used in topical form, its systemic side
effect are not seen.

fall will be stabilized. In another 3 months, you should notice increase in
hair density.
Q. How long to use it?
R. To enjoy thicker, fuller hair you will have to continue using it. As long as
one wish to preserve and grow the thinned hair, one has to keep using it.
Q. What will happen if I stop using it?
R. Within few weeks to months, the hair growth due to the product will
begin to slow down and you will notice the progressive nature of patterned

R. Though uncommon side effects like reduced libido, erection issues, pain

Indications:
Treatment of male pattern hair loss / androgenic alopecia in MEN ONLY. It is NOT indicated for use in WOMEN especially during child bearing age group, and pregnancy and lactation
Mechanism of Action:
DHT blocker, a synthetic 4-azasteroid compound, is a specific inhibitor of Type II 5-alpha reductase enzyme. This blocks the peripheral conversion of testosterone to DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) resulting in significant reduction in tissue and serum DHT level. This interrupts the process of miniaturisation of hair by DHT.
Direction for Use:
The recommended dose is 1gm gel twice a day or as recommended by the doctor.
Duration of Use and expected outcome:
- In general, daily use for three months or more is necessary before benefit is observed in mild to moderate hair loss and thinning but not in complete hair loss.
- Full benefit will take around 1 years.
- Continued use is recommended to sustain benefit, which should be re-evaluated periodically.
- Withdrawal of treatment leads to reversal of effect within few months.
Side Effects/Adverse Reaction:
Since it is a topical gel it do not have side effect as common as with oral DHT blocker tablet like decreased libido, Erectile dysfunction, ejaculation disorder, Testicular pain, Breast tenderness, enlargement or lump If you see any of these side effects, consult your doctor.
Contraindications:
• Pregnancy – Category X
• Hypersensitivity to any component of this medicine

• No clinical efficacy study in geriatric population above 65 years age.

Warning and Precautions:
- Exposure of women- It is not indicated in women, unless under the guidance of a doctor.
- Effects on PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen)- PSA levels are decreased by approximately 50% by 12 months of use of Oral DHT blocker. Though its significance with topical gel form is not known.
- 5α-reductase inhibitors may increase the risk of development of high-grade prostate cancer. Though its significance with topical gel form is not known.
Overdosage:
No specific treatment for overdose is recommended.
Drug interactions:
No clinically meaningful drug-drug interactions was observed while using DHT blocker
